Those visiting Thailand for business purposes, work, study or other reasons beside tourism require a Non Immigration Visa. Whether applying in person or by post, applications for Non Immigrant Visa must provide the following documents:
| STUDY |
|
|---|---|
| FAMILY |
|
| BUSINESS |
|
| WORK |
|
Consular officers reserve the right to request for additional documents or information if necessary.
The validity of a Non-Immigrant Visa is three months from the date of issue.
Entrants coming to Thailand with this type of visa will be permitted to stay in the Kingdom for a period not exceeding 90 days. Permission of stay will be given at the Immigration Checkpoint. The length of which will be subject to the discretion of the Thai Immigration Bureau upon entry into the Kingdom.
Extensions are possible.
Visa fee is PGK 190 per entry. Payment may be made either by cash or bank cheque (payable to Royal Thai Consulate-General). Visa fees are payable in local Kina currency and are subject to change without notice. Visa fees are charged to cover the cost of processing an application. If an application is refused, the fee is not refundable.
IT IS VERY IMPORTANT TO NOTE THAT:
A visa does not guarantee entry into Thailand. It however simply indicates that your application has been reviewed by a consular officer
and that he or she has determined you are eligible to enter the country for a specific purpose and permitted time.
This visa allows you to travel to Thailand as far as the port of entry and ask the Immigration officer to allow you to enter the Kingdom.
ONLY THE IMMGRATION OFFICER HAS THE AUTHORITY TO PERMIT YOU TO ENTER THAILAND AND TO DETERMINE THE DURATION OF YOUR STAY.
