Purpose of Visit

This type of visa is issued to applicants who bare a Diplomatic or Official passport.

Required Documents

Bearers of Diplomatic or Official passports must provide the following documents with a completed Visa Application Form:

1. A passport or travel document recognised by Thailand with validity of 6 months or more from expected date of arrival.
2. A photocopy of biographic page of passport or travel document.
3. A passport size photograph (3.5x4.5cm) taken within last six (6) months without glasses or headgear (photocopy not accepted).
4. An official note from the employer or organisation stating applicant’s position and purpose of visit to Thailand.
5. A valid airline ticket or travel itinerary confirming date of arrival in and departure from Thailand.
6. A valid airline ticket or travel itinerary confirming date of arrival in and departure from Thailand to the third country destination.
7. If the applicant is a Papua New Guinea citizen, an official note from the Department of Foreign Affairs of Papua New Guinea.
8. If the applicant is a UN official or official of International Organization and wishes to attend a UN meeting or any conference, seminar hosted by Thai government agency, the permission for visa issuance from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand is required.

Consular officers reserve the right to request additional documents or information as deemed necessary.

General Rules and Regulations

• The Royal Thai Honorary Consulate-General will only accept complete applications.
• Visa applications with incomplete documentation will not be processed until all documentation is provided. All applicants must apply at least seven (7) days prior to their travel.
• Complete applications take three (3) business days to process, not including the day that you lodge.
• Each application is considered on its individual merit and may be rejected without any reason provided.

Notice About Visas

IT IS VERY IMPORTANT TO NOTE THAT:

A visa does not guarantee entry into Thailand. It however simply indicates that your application has been reviewed by a consular officer and that he or she has determined you are eligible to enter the country for a specific purpose and permitted time. This visa allows you to travel to Thailand as far as the port of entry and ask the Immigration officer to allow you to enter the Kingdom. ONLY THE IMMGRATION OFFICER HAS THE AUTHORITY TO PERMIT YOU TO ENTER THAILAND AND TO DETERMINE THE DURATION OF YOUR STAY.
